Week 10 recap
Bad weekend for the commish… between the Hawkeyes upset and the Giants marching on… Oy.
No real consensus on a dominating popular team this week, but despite that, everyone made it through the week. Some kind of record?
Of the top three teams picked, two needed to swat away two-point conversion attempts to preserve the win (Chiefs going for the win over the Chargers, hey what do they have to lose, and the Seahawks going for the tie with Miami), and last night Arizona’s D stopped former Penn State star MRob inches away from the goal line on the game’s final play to hang on 29-24.
If you want to pick in the Thursday night match-up between the Bretts and the Pats, be sure to have your pick in by Thursday at 5pm. Otherwise, all other picks due Sunday at 10am.
As I mentioned in my email last night, the site is now on a different server, so update your bookmarks. And another tidbit from the email: I’m working on a new design for the site, and I’m hoping it’ll be done before the season’s over.

Hey, I’m still proud of that team. They’ve exceeded any expectations I had.
If you asked me in August how I would feel about the team being 9-1 after 10 games and in the driver’s seat for the Rose Bowl bid, I’d have taken that any day. Of course, I would have assumed the 1 loss would have been to Wisconsin or Ohio State, but that’s why we play the games. Props to Iowa for playing a complete game.

I was telling my buddy at the Bar Saturday Night after the loss the same thing. If I told you at the begining of the year you would be going to the Rose Bowl you would take it. It could be interesting in the Rose Bowl. Oregon St. which Penn St. beat like a rented mule earlier in the year is also in the driver’s seat for the Rose Bowl. I think if you two meet again, Penn St. wins but a much much better game.
