I would agree with Jason G and say just leave it as is. Okay, 1 more idea... Each winning team at the end of the season has 7 unused teams. How about in the final week if there are more than say 5 players, then have each player make their final survivor team pick and then put their remaining teams in order of who they think will win. That would leave 7 unused teams that each player would need to choose from in order of who they think would win. Whomever has the most wins before hitting a losing team is the winner.

Bill, I am going to give you my opinion. This is the pool that you created and if I were you I would just leave the pool as is. Yes in my opinion having buybacks in the first 5 weeks seems to be excessive if anything maybe reduce it to week 2 or 3 and that way the pool prize money will increase from original. For all of those people worried about too many picks left due to buybacks keep in mind that Tenn., Hous. and Ariz all came very close to losing and if that would have happened there would have been only 2 picks left with 2 weeks remaining. I have been in other survivor pools over the last 10 plus years and every year there are major upsets in December.

Broncos are my team so that really sucked for me, except I picked so no one to blame. So did 1/2 the pool so I am at least happy that it sweetened the pot for those who remain, Merry Christmas and good luck everyone!

Why tinker with a good pool. Make it a true SURVIVOR POOL....Dog eat dog....You pay your money you takes your chances...Get rid of the buy backs and auto picks....Stop treating us like a bunch of babies....If you didn't survive this year....try next year...Don't try and change things to make up for your short comings....

I prefer the 2 picks in December a lot more than the playoff idea. The Raiders screwed me early in the season vs the Eagles, but boy I did i like seeing them win today.
