Week seventeen
This is it! Here we go!
Can you believe that someone actually forgot to send in their pick this week?
I think it turned out to be a harder week to pick than normal, from all of the suspensions, injuries, teams resting their starters, etc. Should be interesting.
Go Iggles!

Bill,
Check you email again. Dave sent his pick in .. he didn’t forget. Are you sure the script didn’t miss it?
Thanks,
Dan

like he said before, don’t wait until the last minute to send a pick. sometimes emails float around cyberspace for some time. just saying…

i also think that next year if you don’t get a pick in, you don’t get in. automatic elimination. i wonder how different things would be right now if it was done this year.

Brief followup .. I sent a copy of the email to Bill again. It’s unusual I think .. the email was sent several minutes before 10 .. shouldn’t have been a problem, hasn’t been all year.
I’m just asking that he check for it again. And if the picks weren’t there, the rules are clear ..
And Go BROWNS!

Maybe something to consider .. also to lighten Bill’s load as the pool grows, would be to enable the players to log in and make the pick themselves. Then email is cut entirely out of the process.

Dan,
I checked the mail server logs. No record of anything received from Dave’s email address since his week 16 pick.
I’m starting to question if there’s even a real Dave. You were sending in his picks most of the season from your email address before I told you to tell Dave to send in his own picks. Do you realize that the Dave Week 17 email you “forwarded to me” is signed “Thanks, Dan”?
The very first rule on the Rules page says you cannot sign up under a different person’s name.

Denver coach Josh McDaniels benched Brandon Marshall for todays game for missing a therapy session. Could impact the outcome… Scheffler benched too.

Yeah, I was originally thinking about going with the Broncos until I saw that they weren’t gonna have both starting wideouts and their tight end.

Bill,
Email Dave and check for yourself. No need for the attitude.
Thanks for checking into it anyway.

Considering “Dave” likes to sign his emails as “Dan”, I’m pretty sure if I email Dave, I’ll get a reply.
All I’m saying is that there is something suspicious going on. Dave is definitely not sending all his own emails.

That’s great, but who are the CHEFS? LOL

I am so glad that I did not pick the Broncos…for the last 7 days I had contemplated between the Bears and Broncos…and with Marshall out of the line up and the Chiefs “almost” victorious over the Bengals last week it made my decision final to go with the Bears…I hope the J E T S lose so we can get like $125 more for those who are in for the money…awesome!! Go Bengals!!!

Why isn’t “Dave” fighting his own battle?
